Planning for retirement is not all fun and games, but the right mix of
preparation and strategy can help you achieve financial success.
Two thirds of the people in the history of the world that have lived past 65 years of age are alive today.
And while in 1890 the average life expectancy was 48 years, currently
the statisticians * tell us that life expectancy for males is 80 and
females 85 years of age.
Surprisingly though, is that the fastest growing age group is people over 85 !
Given trends towards healthier lifestyle, better nutrition and advances
in medical sciences, it is quite possible that in 20 years time most
retirees will be celebrating their 100th Birthdays.
One of the greatest changes we face in our lifetime is retiring. After
having spent most of our adult lives working, retirement is a new era.
Some people look forward to this new opportunity while others are
nervous about this change in their lifestyle.
Most people know they need to be financially prepared for retirement,
but sometimes it's hard to know where to start. Making sure that you
get the most out of your retirement involves careful planning.
Being prepared to meet the financial challenges that lie ahead does not
need to be too daunting a task. By taking the steps now, the concept of
financial independence, and ultimately wealth, can be closer than you
think.
Remember, when saving for retirement, the rules are simple .....
The sooner you save, the less you have to save.
